Film lovers will be able to enjoy a series of short films followed by filmmaker discussions on their work and upcoming projects. The pop-up virtual film festival is free of charge. Presented by the Denton Black Film Festival + Jim Austin Online Let us “Entertain, Educate, and Inspire” YOU with a FREE Virtual screening of short films curated by the Denton Black Film Festival (DBFF) and talks with the filmmakers about their films and upcoming projects. Included in the programming are "Zoo" a little known historical narrative short by Monda Raquel Webb which drew many accolades in the USA and internationally and the Award Winning Heroes of Color Animation Series- Episodes 1 & 4 by David Heredia. Learn about the Buffalo Soldiers of West Texas with filmmaker Michael "Aku" Rodriguez; Be touched by Latasha Kennedy's " One Last Goodbye" - Winner of the Best Short at 2020 DBFF. Be inspired by "LiME' and the lesson a mother teaches her son who is "different" about bullies and life. Be entertained by a well executed horror short "Patient Zero" from local filmmaker Issa Currie.
